Aluminum conducts heat better than the plastic case of an iBook. Place 
your hand on both in a store where they have been sitting but not 
running. The aluminum powerbook feels much colder than the iBook even 
though the temperatures are the same because aluminum conducts heat 
away from your hand more readily than the plastic does.
