Assuming that you are using that drive to store files and not as a boot 
disk, you don't have to do anything. OS X will recognize the drive as 
is. OS X and OS 9 are both installed on your internal drive. Classic is 
not an operating system, it is an application in X that lets you start 
OS 9 and  run OS 9 applications while running OS X. Once you've moved 
all of your applications to X via upgrades or new purchases, you won't 
need OS 9 anymore.
