BUT, Apple says it is shipping PB G4s withn 10.2.7 (posted on 22 September):

The first forum debates the merits of installing 10.2.7 on Macs other 
than G5s; apparently one person tried it and didn't kill his computer.

Anyone here want to try installing 10.2.7 on his/her iBook? I didn't 
go URL-hopping to find a source for 10.2.7; I'm not that 
adventuresome...yet.
