Yeah, and isn't it equally important to consider the size of the cache
buffer? 

So ideally you would be wanting something like:

- 60Gb fluid bearing HDD with 8Mb buffer at 54OO rpm.

I think the buffer aids OSX especially, as that accesses the hard drive when
there's not enough Ram for it to grab.
