Other battery problems

We have a G3 iBook which was bought in the winter 2002/3.  Its logic 
board failed after 12 months and the power adaptor failed after about 
13 months. In the intervening period, after getting the new logic 
board, the battery has started to discharge very quickly.  For example, 
if left playing music (no screen effects) on full charge it will be 
flat after about 2 hours.  I heard that there may be a problem with 
aspects of battery charging on this machine and wonder if anyone can 
advise me on what to do.
