[P1] Does anyone have an iBook that smells?

Unfortunately, it is long out of warranty. I believe I could make the 
repair if I had a replacement cable. Any suggestions as to where I 
might get one? Apple says they will repair it for $350.00. The 
alternative is to use it for a server.
