I like DVD Backup (takes DVD, dupes and removes restrictions and
writes to HD), then HandBrake (to go from HD to AVI/Mpeg) or DVD2oneX
(to go to a DVD minus or plus R/RW).

Others have different ways. Oh so many ways to so oh so many things. Yum.

Gotta love the developers.
