iTunes trying to load URL?

I have my laptop connected to a Dell computer and we both share our 
iTunes library so I can play my stuff thru the Dell's sound system with 
woofer, speakers, etc.
The problem is that I can see and play all the stuff on the Dell but 
when I use iTunes for windoze and try to play the songs on my laptop it 
insists on trying to connect to a URL???? Why does it do this on the 
Dell and how do I stop it/???
