No.  I have a TiBook with the Yo-yo that has a straight connection (G3 
PowerBook and clamshell iBooks have a yo-yo with 90 degree angle at the 
connection point and a bigger pin).  It fits fine in the G4 iBook--and 
appears to charge fine as well.
