Tom, Check out the eyeTV from El Gato (www.elgato.com). I bought the original USB model when it first came out and it's great for TV as well as other analog video via RCA plugs. Be aware however that it encodes the video as mpeg, which means that to edit it in iMovie or a similar program you'll have to convert it to dv with something like Quicktime Pro.
