[iBook] Ack! Desktop gone white.

My seven year old son tried to replace my desktop picture with one
that he drew with my new Wacom Tablet.

Now my desktop is all white with the faint grey pinstripes,  and
nothing I've tried to change it to anything else seems to work.  I've
deleted my desktop plist etc. but all no go.

Also, whenever I restart the computer, the last image I see before it
shuts down is my son's picture, rather than the plain blue screen I'm
used to seeing.

Help!
