[iBook] Applications opening behind everything

Hi all,

Recently, due to hers being in the shop (monitor, space bar issue, new
G4 iBook) my wife has been using my G3 iBook.  I really like the Fast
User Switching feature!  Since she's been using it, though, I've been
finding that when I start an application, the new window will open
behind everything else on the desktop.  It's a small thing, but a bit
annoying nonetheless.

Where can I reset whatever setting has been switched?
