[iBook] iChat AV won't load on new Tiger install

Hi all,

I just installed Tiger on a G4 1.2Ghz iBook.  There is only one user
on it.  I have had no trouble with this system since installing, but
tonight I wanted to try my DV camera in iChat and couldn't even get it
to load!

I double clicked in Applications, I would see its name briefly beside
the Apple (what's that bar called?  the title bar?), then it would
disappear and I'd be back to finder.

I've repaired permissions, and made sure that this user (the only one)
had permissions to read and write to it.

Any other ideas?

PS. I did a clean wipe and install, not an upgrade from Panther.
