[iBook] watching divx with ibook

hello again,

i have some questions about mac, hope I dont disturb you. the reason im sending seperate emails is, seperate problems, and for future easy viewing.

1- can I play all divx xvid qpel mkv movies in my ibook g3 366 - 384 mb ram?

2- if yes, which configuration is best:
a) mac os 10.x (possible before tiger for better ram use)
b) mac is 9.2.2
