[iBook] external drive: USB vs. firewire

Most likely your iBook has USB 1.1 (unless it is a G4 from this  
year); It is very very slow when burning. You will do yourself a big  
favor going with Firewire.

A USB 1.1 takes 20 to 30 min for a music CD. A firewire 400 will take  
5 to 7 min. The newer USB 2.0 is much closer to the firewire speed,  
but USB 2 on the drive means nothing if your ibook is USB 1.1
