As mentioned elsewhere, the external USB modem is very small and works fine (or you can use eFax send and receive faxes).  If you really need FW-800 you'd need to purchase a FW-800 ExpressCard/34 add-in -- give that most use of FW 800 is for high end professional video use, I'd fully expect a higher end MacBook or G5 Tower replacement to have native FW-800.
