[iBook] iBook DHCP ID not showing up

I've never noticed this before....
 
When I look at the DHCP Clients table on my Linksys router I see all the
devices in my house except the name of the iBook.  I can see it logged on
and its IP address (which I verified on the iBook itself), but there is no
DHCP name for the iBook.
 
In the Network preferences on the iBook I did give it a DHCP name of
iBook500.
 
I have a G3/500 iBook running 10.3.9.
 
Any ideas why the iBook isn't delivering its DHCP name?
