Hi Matt,
Your Zire 71 should have came with Document-To-Go, which would
read/write word doc.  Of course, you can always convert them to PDF
and use PDF Reader for Palm.
The other thing is ... I'm not too sure what Palm app you're trying to
use -- but technically, the dumb way is to open up PalmDesktop for
Mac, copy the text you want and paste it in a new memo.  When you
sync, it should show up on your Plam.
