You do have "Repeat Off" checked, don't you? A similar problem I have is: 1] I set up iTunes for Shuffle with NO Repeats. 2] Start it and listen for a while. 3] Quit 4] Launch again. Before playing, the previous order is maintained. 5] Hit SPACE to begin playing, and the order shuffles again. This kind of behaviour will cause me to hear the same songs over again. I may have to deselect Shuffle before playing the subsequent times to maintain the list order, and Repeat OFF will cause it to stop at the end.
