You said that your firewall (on the Mac, I'm guessing) is configured to 
allow port 3689.  Have you configured your Airport to pass port 3689 
through to your Mac?  Look in  Airport Admin Utility, configure your 
base station, "Show All Settings->Port Mapping."  Tell it to pass any 
connections to port 3689 to your Mac's local IP address.
