You will LOSE quality converting your existing MP3 files to AAC. If
you want to maintain or improve quality, you will need to re-rip from
the original CDs. Both MP3 and AAC are lossy compression schemes so
converting from one to the other (even at a higher bitrate) will always
degrade the quality.
