Er...2.5 years ago is ancient history  in the computer world.  Even the 
tiny hard drives that fit in the iPod are up to 40GB now!

Anyway, they certainly are big enough now for somewhat substantial 
libraries. The drive I installed in my iBook months ago is 80 GB, there 
might be larger ones available now.
