Apple had to convince the music distributors that the iPod would not be
used to steal music. Each iPod can only be synched to one computer. You
cannot use an iPod to transfer music from one computer to another
(unless you download some hacker programs to defeat this feature).

You can *play* the music through the school's Mac (if you need to) by
connecting the iPod to the Mac. iTunes will open if it isn't already
open. There will be a button on lower right corner of iTunes window with
an icon that looks like an iPod. If you click it, you will open a window
to set iPod preferences. If you click on "Manual Update", the contents
of the iPod will change from grayed out to regular and you will be able
to click on specific tracks and play them.
