You know what? I found that young children really love the iPod  
whatever the generation. I just gave a 20Gig iPod that had been  
sitting in a drawer for a few years to my 9 year old Granddaughter and  
she really loves the thing. She even enjoys the (very dated) music I  
had installed on it.
