[iTunes] the iTunes update

I just got my iMac back with it's 2 TB hard drive. Everything is working well except iTunes 9.1. It's only the Book link. I don't do music but only audiobooks on mine. Book takes forever to load on my iPods and iPhone. When it does no scroll bar in the Playlist window. Wait another minute and a half and that appears. 
I think there is a major bug. It's not my system. Everything has been checked and re-checked by two good techs and the new hard drive put in. 
O/S and everything is up to date.
