Start iTunes with the option key down and create or choose a library. If you have the same song in both libraries, you can use iTunes -> Preferences -> Advanced and deselect "Copy Files to iTunes Music Folder..." so that the songs will stay in one place. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I?m sorry Ray, that?s what I meant. I?m using two library files, I hit option and restart iTunes when I want to switch. What I?m wondering is if there were a way to automatically have the ?Copy Files? option disabled if Library 2 were the one loaded. Like I said, I think I?ll need to look into Applescript. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... When the power came on (even with battery back-up, the programs took a hit) iTunes did a reload of all songs - 16,000+. When finished I got a message that "the file iTunes Library does not appear to be a valid music file. iTunes has attempted to recover your music library and renamed this file to iTunes Library (Damaged)". Everything appears OK except the 'date added' for all tunes is 3-07-07. I need the previous dates from the damaged file and wonder if there's a way to get them back? Any help on this would be appreciated.
