From simplymail at ururk.com Sat Apr 5 13:26:39 2008 From: simplymail at ururk.com (John Pariseau) Date: Sat Apr 5 13:29:04 2008 Subject: [iTunes] iTunes miniplayer Double-click behavior Message-ID: Running 10.5.2, latest version of iTunes, two different MacBook Pros. A logitech mouse on one computer, a MS mouse on the other. I'm having a weird double-click issue. If I have iTunes collapsed into the mini player, and click on any of the buttons (left, right, pause/play), I get a double click. This happens on two machines, and will do this with a mouse or trackpad button. This does NOT happen if I use the trackpad to make the click. Nor if I use the keybord. Any ideas? Changing the double-click speed does not help. I haven't googled it yet. Thanks! Safari is Apple's web browser application, and it seems that the update was set to grab it along with the update. No, you don't need it in order to use your iPod. -- Regards, John From kestevens at mac.com Sat Apr 5 18:43:58 2008 From: kestevens at mac.com (Ken Stevens) Date: Sat Apr 5 18:46:08 2008 Subject: [iTunes] safari In-Reply-To: <344551.10281.qm@web39607.mail.mud.yahoo.com> References: <344551.10281.qm@web39607.mail.mud.yahoo.com> Message-ID: <30D6FA88-4F71-44C1-B56E-2A58B4337BD3@mac.com> Safari is Apples web browser. I've been using Airport Express for this purpose for several years now without any problem. My AE is one of the previous generation (802.11g) models, set up to join a wireless network controlled by an Airport Extreme base station (802.11n). I stream from both my iBook (802.11g card) and my iMac (802.11n) on a regular basis. I also stream occasionally from my older swan-neck iMac (802.11b card) without any problem. Audio files involved include ALAC, AAC, AAC iTunes purchases, MP3 and AIFF (including, recently, high-resolution AIFF -- up to 96kHz/24bit). Airport Express copes with all this flawlessly. Later this year I plan to get rid of my old iMac and my trusty old iBook, replacing them with the soon-to-be-announced new MacBook complete with 802.11n. I will upgrade to the latest AE at that stage so as to be completely 802.11n.
