I just got MacGPS Pro from James Associates plus their serial data cable for 
my garmin 76cs and was able to connect to my GPS for the first time.   No luck 
still with Mac Windows PC even using my new serial-USB cable and newest 
Keyspan Window's XP driver.

well, i ended up purchasing a delorme earthmate GPS with the route 66 
software by www.66.com.  i am just now actually loading it all so i 
have no results yet.  email me back in a week or so and ask me then.
