I have found many options for comparing spreadsheets in Excel, in Windoze, http://compare-spreadsheets-for-excel.en.softonic.com/ http://www.comparesuite.com/download.htm http://www.filedudes.com/compare_spreadsheets_for_excel-download-44642.html http://www.topshareware.com/DiffEngineX-Compare-Excel-Files-download-39990.htm http://www.aardvarksoftware.co.uk/products.html http://www.spreadsheetadvantage.com/ but nothing at all in Mac OS X ! Has anyone ever come across, or used, any program in OS X that can highlight / detect / report differences between spreadsheets ? regards, Trevor -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... For the past few months, the mail program repeatedly asks for password for each mailbox. I input the correct passwords, asking it to place them in keychain and the next day, or a few hours later, it ask for the passwords again. This is frustrating. I have rebuilt the keychain, corrected permissions and rebuilt my directory. Mail still keeps asking me for passwords. I cannot scan from my Macs at all using the HP software. I have a Photosmart C6100 HPF74458 All-In-One which is connected to my network via ethernet. I have not tried using its wireless connection. What I can do, however, is to go to the Jetdirect's IP address in the browser and use the configuration web site to scan. I don't have the fancy tools like OCR or the ability to use the document feeder, but it works in a pinch. If I need the other features, I use the Windows laptop. I have not actually tried installing the HP suite on my Win 2k installation under Parallels to see if that will work. Hmm. One more project... All the computers and devices on your network should be "in the same space" regardless of being plugged in or wireless. I'm not sure about your network configuration, but it is possible that the wired machines are connected to your access point on the WAN side, so they cannot see the printer. I can't think of any reason that the printer should care which network port you are using. I don't know this for sure, but the gist I got from the instructions on my printer is that it doesn't like using both its wired and wireless ports at the same time. Could that be the issue? I have the wireless port on mine disabled and use the access point to pass traffic to the printer. But if I initiate from the scanner I can only send the file to a wireless computer. Odd! John -- You want to hear my new favorite oxymoron ? Microsoft Works !! Initiating scans from the printer would only work with Windows machines, and then only sporadically. I could not choose the receiving application with any great reliability either. I have not tried to initiate scans from the printer with the new one, at least to send to a computer. I can scan to a memory card inserted into the printer and have done that a couple times. Scott
