A couple of times recently the power has gone out for a split second or so, and the Xserve failed to restart completely -- it came back online, and received email okay, but failed to send it out until I manually did a restart. A UPS should eliminate that problem, right? Any recommendation on what UPS to buy? I just want to cover outages that last a minute or less -- most are a second or less. It hasn't turned off when the power has failed. Its way bigger than you need however. You want to make sure to get a UPS that runs all power through the battery, instead of one that switches when it detects a failure, as those may not protect against the brownouts you see. My uneducated opinion. Chris W. On Jul 23, 2006, at 7:01 AM, Bob Bergey wrote: > I need to get an Uninterruptible Power Supply for my Xserve.
