You are obligated to regularly purchase very expensive consumables. Basically the offer gets you to pay for the printer in installments (and possibly beyond the ordinary price for this type of printer) in the guise being a "free" offer. By the way, these color printers aren't laser printers and they aren't continuous-tone printers. They are "hot-wax" otherwise known as "crayon" printers. These printers heat up wax crayons and spray the hot wax onto the page. This type of printer is terrible for printing photographs because they must use a dither pattern to approximate shades of colors, though they are very nice for printing business graphics, such as graphs, and anything that has lots of solid color areas. They are only so-so for printing black text, but not particularly economical for doing so. These are the old Tektronix Phaser printers, which Xerox bought the rights to and has re-branded. http://www.freecolorprinters.com/ Randy B.
