Their line is being ported to OS X for Early FY03. http://www.ashlar-vellum.com/index.html CAD Translators The one I use is Amapi 6. (http://www.eovia.com). It is a high end but inexpensive 3-D modeler that has extensive translation capabilities that include IGES, DXF AND STL (IMPORT/EXPORT). An OS X port is underway. DesignWorkshop The good news is that there is a free version. The $99 version exports to VRML 97. The export is excellent. However, there are stability problems. The documentation is OK. They seem to support a free architectural site. (http://www.greatbuildings.com) Speaking of FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, FREE, ARGH, GULP, PANT, WHEEZE,....... Meshworks -- a free VRML 97 (3-D on the web) modeler for OS 9 and OS X. http://codenautics.com/meshwork/intro.html By the way, Z-Corporation's 3-D printer will accept VRML 97. John F. Richardson
