Manuel: Thanks for the info. I reviewed all my settings, and although they are somewhat different than yours, they should make the modem make sounds. I'm using 10.2 which I suspect is a bit different than 10.1.4. When I boot into 9.2, the modem sounds are fine. It's only under 10.2 that there is no modem sound. About the only thing left to try is a clean system install, but I hate the idea of doing it. All else works so well as it is. Allen > Allen: > > Yes.
