Selma, One cause of random sleep/shutdown problems is interference from nearby devices. Where I work, we had such problems anytime one of our guards with a walkie-talkie came too close to the Cube. At home, I had this problem a few times until I moved my DSL modem further away from my Cube. Does the Cube sit right next to the Gateway or to other devices? If so, see if you can give it a bit of distance. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may need to replace the power gasket on the Cube, which I think is discussed on cubeowner.com. Good luck Mike >Hello, > >I've been lurking on this list since I got my beloved Cube about two >months ago. > >I have a fairly stock 450 mhz cube that has 256 mb of RAM (what it came >with) and an upgraded 60 GB HD. > >Now, I love the thing very much, since it's quieter than the Gateway PC >it shares a monitor with.
