I would think it might be a problem of the camera or its software. I have a Canon Powershot G1 and download the images from a 64MB card in the camera to the computer as fast as I am able highlight and click on each image. Still using Mac OS 9.04. I also have a sandisk flash card reader that I consider worthless. Using infra red, I am also able to download images through my HP1215 printer. In all of these instances, using the camera is much better and faster.
