Samsung printers, OS9.22

hi all. am having enormous problems with a new Samsung Izzi ML1210 laser
printer on my cube, running 9.2 with 1.5gb of memory, printing through a USB
port. 
the printer seems unable to print even the most simple graphic. I assumed it
was a memory problem, so increased the memory of the printer, as well as the
applications where I am having the problems (word, acrobat, excel).
still it does not work. any ideas?
