[CUBE] need shopping advice for drive replacement

i would first check that you didn't burn up your firewire ports with a 
bad cable, when you have firewire problems it's a good idea before 
plugging it in to another computer to try it you use another cable for 
safety. Do you have any other firewire devices to make sure your ports 
still work?
