[CUBE] 1 pin out of 40 on the hard drive...

An idea, if you are CERTAIN that the pin is broken, and that the 
connection needs to be made, and you are a risk taker, and absolutely 
need the data on the drive. Take a piece of wire the same size as the 
pin, and just a smidgen longer than what's broken. Insert into the 
appropriate hole. You may get necessary contact without a nightmare, 
pinpoint-precision solder job. Make sure you can replace the 
connecter, as well, in the event that it does not work, or if you 
need to use a different drive without the problem pin.

I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE. PERFORM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Sorry for 
shouting; just wanted to make sure you knew this was not expert 
advice, merely a possible cheap and easy solution.
