[CUBE] Apple/Nvidia GeForce4 MX440 64MB AGP May Not Fit

If Card can be made to fit, will it work in the Cube 2X AGP slot.
It is listed as 8X, will it step down to 2X

I have just gotten a cube and am checking various upgrades.
