Thanks for the information. I just can't believe that there isn't someone out there who is going to let the vast number of people who want to burn DVD's be unserved. There always seems to be a solution to every problem on the mac by mac people. There have to be millions of us out here who want to use their "legacy" G4's to burn DVD's with an external drive. And now that iLife is offered, I can't see why Apple doesn't just charge for the licensing fee extra, or sell an external of their own, including the licensing fee and capability. We all know they need to sell equipment, but with the success of all of these iLife programs and now releasing safari, Keynote, and Final Cut Express, they realize there is a market for consumer softerware to support existing systems and their digital hub push.
