[CUBE] Cube video card options

Ok, I want to know about using the Pioneer external DVD Recorder. iDVD 
will not work because it wants an internal recorder. So I need to buy 
DVD Studio Pro, right? At the educational price of $499 plus $350 for 
the recorder, that is still cheaper than a new computer. I was reading 
the specs for DVD Studio, and it mentions needing a 4x video card. What 
is a 4x video card? Will this work with a basic 450 cube with the 
original ATI video card?
