osx stuck on login

Hey, have a huge problem. Can't acces OS X because it gets stuck in the
"loggin in" window.  All I can do is acces the disk by booting into OS9 from
an installation CD but that is no help since I can'to do anything from
there. Also this login window appeared all of a sudden I never set it up in
the first place. 

I am running  OS X 10.2 on a dual 1GHZ tower.
