My understanding of the prices are that the dual 800 is $800, the dual 1 GHz is $1,200 and the dual 1.2 GHz is $1400. If you are planning on using multiprocessor aware applications like the iLife suite, for example, most of the time these will all be good choices. If not, a single processor upgrade would be abetter choice. The big advantage over buying a PowerMac with these processor sets is the silence of the Cube will be mostly maintained due to the inclusion of and need for only one very quiet small 8 CM fan. k On Saturday, January 18, 2003, at 07:36 AM, Allan Hise wrote: > Looking at the price spread of the 800 vs 1 GHz and the 800 single vs > 800 dual, I could guess that single 1.2 GHz will be in the same price > ballpark as a dual 800 and that a dual 1.2 GHz will be too expensive > right away.
