barracuda iv seems slow

Hi 

I've been looking with interest at the xbench results post on the www.cubeowner.com forum.  It seems as if the 80gb barracuda iv in my cube is running paprticularly slow - around 55 compared to upwards of 80 on other people's machines.  Anyone have any ideas as to why this might be the case?

640mb ram
80gb Seagate Barracuda iv
GF2mx
OSX 10.2.3
