There's also the option of holding out for a Cube 500/CDRW so you can kill a couple birds with one stone (namely the 60GB drive and a QE supported video card). Though those probably still hold a higher value due to their rarity. I passed up the Cube when it was first released and went for a G4 733 DA tower, which I was very pleased with... 18 months later I sold it and grabbed a Cube, and had some money left over for other niceties (like a wrap around glass desk <g>). I don't see Airport Extreme as being anything to get excited about in a desktop machine, and I don't expect FireWire 800 to be really useful for a while yet (a new iPod certainly wouldn't justify buying a tower for my uses). So.... I'll probably upgrade the CPU in the next couple of months and wait and see what the new systems look like at the beginning of next year. John
