Oh, I am sorry. I overlooked the word "external" I thought that question had already been answered about two three weeks ago when it was repeatedly reported by numerous MWSF attendees that the Apple employees said NO. But OWC is in talks with Apple about reintroducing their patch with external 105s they may sell (if Apple will agree it's OK). Purchasing iLife may be a requirement for the sale of the drives. Still an unanswered question that may take several more weeks for the answer to appear. k On Friday, January 31, 2003, at 03:54 PM, David Evan Isom wrote: > Actually, it does nothing to address Jason's question, which was > whether iDVD 3 works with EXTERNAL burners... > > On Friday, Jan 31, 2003, at 15:41 US/Pacific, Thubten Kunga wrote: > >> Here's the copy: >> >> First Reader Report on iLife/iDVD3 Install w/Retail Superdrive/no >> iDVD2 (Rumors Put to Rest) - Here's the first reader report on >> iLife/iDVD3 installs on a system that has a retail Pioneer DVR-105 >> (aka the latest "superdrive" retail model) and no previous iDVD >> install: >> >> " Mike: >> Picked up iLife last night for my Dual G4 450 - recently updated >> with a Pioneer DVR-105 drive.
