The gentleman on the phone told me that the labor was $85 leaving $215 for the GeForce2 MX card itself. Hard to think that the card will cost $215. I was thinking of adding a fan not to the card but to the Cube itself (similar to the ones provided by Powerlogix for the CPU upgrade cards. I suspect heat killed my current video card. Thanks. -------Original Message------- From: Alan Thompson <athomp2 at mac.com> Sent: 06/06/03 07:20 PM To: Cube List <Cube at lists.themacintoshguy.com> Subject: Re: [CUBE] Need New Video Card for Cube > > how much is labor? if it's a significant amount, i'd just as soon have them send you the card, and replace it yourself. the replacement process is trivial. otherwise, i'd shop ebay for another gf2mx, but try to add fan to it? which model of the heat sink did yours have? the tower type, or the model designed for the cube? --alan On Friday, June 6, 2003, at 01:41 PM, J.
