trouble with external floppy disk drive

OK, here is more info. 
VST external disk drive and Exgernal 250 Zip rive are attached to a Blekin 
Express Hub which is attached to the fire wire port under cube. Found out last 
night Zip drive disk is showing up as dual icons on desktop too. This seems to 
me that maybe it is the hub?

Anyone have any ideas. 
Also, in reply to another person here; the VST and Smart Disk have always 
read 1.4 and 2HD disks. I have not had a problem there.

I am running system 9.
If anyone has any other ideas, let me know. I am going to unplug hub and plub 
VST directly ito cube and see if that works.
