If you look at the screen shot on this page, it looks like the only
thing referring to a G5 machine is the text on the left. The machine
image is a mirrored drive door; I find it unlikely that Apple would
come out with a machine as loaded as this G5 purports to be, but use
the same enclosure as before; secondly, the only machines available
for order are current MDD models. Why would Apple advertise a G5 on
the store, if it weren't available for ordering with the various
configs?
The 64 cent question is, did an Apple employee/web person do this by
accident or was this actually someone hacking Apple's website with
this potential bogus G5-related text?
Or was this an inspired (sjobs at apple.com) planned leak (with lots of
stories in the mainstream press regarding Apple legal having the
image pulled, etc.) designed to generate tons of chatter in
preparation for Monday?
