The DCDC board does not power the ADC monitor, the brick provides the 
28V supply.
Since you have only a Single 800, you should be OK, but I'd put the 
brick supply on a
stand or something to help cool it, that's where the ADC monitor gets 
it's power from.
I took one apart once, the only way air gets into it is from the ends, 
so standing it
up on one end should create a chimmney effect as heated air exits the 
top, cool air is
drawn into the bottom AC power cord end.
